Megan (known **by her penname “M. A. Fitzgerald”) has had a long love for fantasy novels. The first novel series she ever read was The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan, and from there her interest in fantasy creatures and mythology only grew. In 2023, while a studying in University, she started writing her own story. What started as a passion project, quickly grew with every chapter written. In 2025, her first-ever manuscript came to life.
Perhaps surprisingly, Megan grew up hating writing. Though a storyteller at heart, she considered writing a chore, rather than a pass-time. Her perspective shifted when, during her first marketing internship, she was encouraged by a mentor to make writing her focus. From that moment forward, she put her energy into sharpening her skills.
Beyond writing, she is also a fine artist and illustrator. In her very limited spare time, she enjoys training and handling her service dog, a Standard Poodle named Mani.
